Presentation mode hides what you would rather not share

Sharing your screen used to mean sharing your working life along with it. Your home page lists every space you can read, "last accessed" quietly names whatever you touched this morning, your Pinned tab is right there, and the moment you type @ the suggestions offer up client names you never meant the room to see.

Presentation mode is a privacy screen for exactly that moment.

Mark a space — Hide in presentation mode, in its node menu — and it joins your own personal list. Then flip Presentation mode on from your user menu before you share, and everything you marked disappears from your Spaces, Pinned and Apps tabs and from your @ suggestions, along with everything inside it. A pair of glasses in the header tells you the screen is up. Turn it off and everything is back exactly as it was: there is nothing to restore and nothing to undo.

Two things it deliberately is not.

It is not a rename. Disguising a node's title changes it for everybody and has to be put back afterwards; a mark is yours alone, and your colleagues' portals do not change by so much as a pixel.

It is not a permission. Nothing is locked, nothing is revoked, and nothing is hidden from anyone else. A marked space is still yours to open — its link works, its page loads, your own search still finds it. The mode simply keeps it off the surfaces that put names on screen without being asked.
