Sharing a document by email is quicker to fill in
The dialog behind the node menu's Email entry used to open with three sentences describing the feature, a note about which mailbox the message would leave from, and a button offering to connect Microsoft 365 β all before you had typed anything. Underneath that, the first field searched for portal users, and the email address most people actually wanted came second.
Now the dialog opens on the recipient's email address, with picking a portal user available just below it for the times you want that instead. The explanation is gone: opening "Share as email" is its own explanation.
The question of which mailbox the message comes from is asked only when it can change the outcome. If your Microsoft 365 mailbox is connected, you see a single line naming the address you are sending from and nothing else. If it is not connected, you are no longer told so up front β you fill in the form as normal, and when you press Send you are asked once, plainly, whether to connect first or to send from the shared portal mailbox instead. Replies come back to you either way. What still never happens is a message going out from the shared mailbox while the person receiving it assumes it came from you.
The node menu's export and sharing entries are also shorter and clearer. They now read PDF, Email and DOCX, each with its own icon β π, π€ and π β and hovering any of them explains what it does. Previously they spelled out "Export to PDF" and "Share β as email" while carrying no icon at all, so the group sat as a blank stretch between the entries above and below it.
